Welcome to quality mental healthcare

I am Dario, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Elevate Mental Health. I have a Master's degree in Social Work from the California State University, Los Angeles, and I am licensed in the State of California. My clinical experience and training include various approaches tailored to the needs of each client. For almost 10 years, I have worked in different settings, providing mental health care for a wide range of conditions, from mild to severe. My goal is to create a safe, caring, and therapeutic environment where I can engage with clients, build rapport, explore their challenges, and navigate through them. My approach is a form of integrative therapy, combining different interventions to address the client's current needs. I strive to ensure that all individuals feel comfortable and secure throughout the therapeutic process.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey began in childhood, during which I grew up witnessing the ongoing struggles of a family member who faced severe mental illness. Observing the numerous challenges and hardships that my relative had to navigate throughout his life deeply impacted me. Consequently, I discovered my passion and unwavering commitment to support and assist those in need of mental health care. This journey started with helping adolescents who were grappling with mental health challenges, and it gradually expanded to encompass adults and children with developmental disabilities, those facing dual diagnoses, and, for the past decade, adults contending with a range of mild to severe mental illnesses across various settings, including the judicial system. My clinical experience and comprehensive training encompass a variety of therapeutic approaches that are specifically tailored to meet the diverse needs of each client who is struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, mood instability, trauma, strained relationships, family dysfunction, legal problems, and inadequate support systems. Over the years, I have had the privilege of training and collaborating with multidisciplinary treatment teams that included psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and nursing professionals. It is the small, incremental improvements and successes from my clients that fuel my motivation each and every day. Above all, I firmly believe that therapy is not a sprint; rather, it is a marathon—a journey toward becoming your best self and living a healthier, more fulfilling life.

My focus

I help people navigate and effectively deal with a variety of challenges that life presents, including past traumas and current stressors that may be affecting their well-being. My main focus is on treating common mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and trauma. In our initial sessions, we will concentrate on building a strong, trusting relationship. Together, we will explore deeper issues at a pace that feels comfortable for you, ultimately creating a supportive and safe environment that fosters healing and promotes personal growth.
